Autonomous Concept Formation
نویسنده
چکیده
A model for the formation of situation concepts is described. A characteristic of this form of concept formation is that it does not require instructive feedback. This renders it suitable for concept formation by autonomous agents. It is experimentally demonstrated that situation concepts constructed independently by several agents can convey useful information between agents through a learned system of communicat ion. A relation was found between the development of the learned system of communication and the duration of the situations.

A Clustering Protocol for Team Formation Based on Concept, Location, and Time
This paper presents a clustering protocol for team formation of intelligent agents. Since agents should be autonomous in their decision whether and with whom to cooperate, all decisions are made locally. The approach is not limited to quantitative distance measures, but is also suited for qualitative representations of concept, location, and time.
متن کاملGrowing Event Memories for Autonomous Robots
The aim of this paper is to provide a systematic overview of methods that are potentially useful for growing event memories in autonomous robots. Recognizing events in sequences of sensor and motor signals is viewed as an important step toward intelligent robot behaviour and part of concept formation, needed for learning tasks such as navigation, planning or language use. Here we concentrate on...
متن کاملNetwork Formation Games with Teams
Network formation games have been proposed as a tool to explain the topological characteristics of existing networks. They assume that each node is an autonomous decision-maker, ignoring that in many cases different nodes are under the control of the same authority (e.g. an Autonomous System) and then they operate as a team. In this paper we introduce the concept of network formation games for ...
متن کاملChaotic property for non-autonomous iterated function system
In this paper, the new concept of non-autonomous iterated function system is introduced and also shown that non-autonomous iterated function system IFS(f_(1,∞)^0,f_(1,∞)^1) is topologically transitive for the metric space of X whenever the system has average shadowing property and its minimal points on X are dense. Moreover, such a system is topologically transitive, whenever, there is a point ...
متن کاملThe Übercruncher: Concept Formation by Analogy Discovery
Concept formation allows for knowledge transfer, generalization, and compact representation. Concepts are useful for the creation of a generally intelligent autonomous agent. If an autonomous agent is experiencing a changing world, then nearly every experience it has will be unique in that it will have at least slight differences from other experiences. Concepts allow an agent to generalize exp...
